Tomorrow morning, the House Appropriations Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations and Related Programs is expected to meet and finalize its funding recommendations for Peace Corps and other international affairs programs.
Tonight, the Chairwoman of the Subcommittee, Nita Lowey, is scheduled to appear on the MSNBC program "Hardball," hosted by Chris Matthews. Also slated to appear is Vanity Fair Special Correspondent Maureen Orth.
Matthews and Orth are both RPCVs. Matthews served in Swaziland from 1969 to 1971, while Orth served in Colombia from 1964 to 1966.
