Today, President Obama released his budget outline for Fiscal Year 2010 (which begins in October).
While specific line item figures may still be weeks away, today's budget outline indicates to Congress plans for "significantly increasing...the Peace Corps."
"We are very pleased with today's FY 2010 budget outline, which is consistent with the President's pledge to double the Peace Corps.", said NPCA President Kevin Quigley. "Now we as a community need to work with our representatives in Congress to make sure they follow through with the President's request."
