If you've served in the Peace Corps in the last, oh, 20 years or so, chances are that you received WorldView magazine at your post. I remember it as offering some welcome diversion in an information universe dominated by shortwave broadcasts from the BBC and Voice of America on the one hand, and our free subscription to Newsweek magazine on the other. WorldView was a different beast. Book reviews, personal essays, articles on development and foreign policy issues, profiles of Peace Corps newsmakers...It looked at the world through the lens of the Peace Corps experience. That is to say, with a twist.
WorldView is still going strong. But you don't have to be sitting in a rondavel in Lesotho to enjoy it. The magazine is a benefit of NPCA membership. And when you visit www.worldviewmagazine.com you can read more stories from the countries where Peace Corps volunteers serve.
